Call for Demonstrators

The workshop HyCHA'24 proposes a call dedicated to demonstrators. Submissions can cover different areas, for example:

  • Neuro-symbolic approaches
  •  Informed learning
  •  Knowledge representation, ontologies, knowledge graphs
  •  Reasoning and inference
  •  Human-machine cooperation
  •  Explainability of AI systems
  •  Constraint-based systems and learning

The demonstrations will allow the authors to present their prototypes to the HyCHA'24 audience during a dedicated session. This session will be an opportunity to :

  • Highlight their work and prototypes and communicate about them to the media, RGs, and research institutions.
  • Obtain feedback from experts, industrials and researchers on the addressed topics.

Submissions should be in the form of a 1-page summary (max. 2 pages) presenting:

  • The specific objectives of the work;
  • the field of application;
  • the main functionalities of the demonstrator;
  • a technical description summarizing the artificial intelligence techniques involved;
  • the usage scenario of the demonstration and
  • a visual of the prototype.

In addition, the submitted document must provide a URL to a demonstration video of up to 10 minutes in duration. This demonstration video can be a mix or combination of an actual demonstration and voice-off (PowerPoint, PDF slides, etc.) and screenshot presentations showing and explaining what's going on. Other formats are also possible if they illustrate the demonstration more clearly. The aim is to give the reviewer a clear idea of the demonstration.

For each demonstrator, the following items will be provided by default: Table, screen, electrical outlets, Wifi Internet access. If certain demonstrations require other devices, it is imperative to indicate this in the document to be submitted. The organizers will do their utmost to accommodate them.

The deadline for the submission of the demonstrators is on March 01, 2024. Submissions will be made from the "Submission" section of the workshop website and by selecting "Demonstrator" during the submission process.  They will  be evaluated by the committee, and feedback will be sent to authors as it becomes available.
